Misfit Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Atari

Over 10 years ago, Misfit started with a mission to disrupt the wearables market by fusing tech and fashion – and as one of Fossil Group’s incubators for creativity – we’ve worked to evolve. Now we seek out artists, designers, and toymakers to help us bring exclusive timepieces, tech accessories, collectibles, behind-the-scenes content, and limited edition drops on the Misfit Collectibles platform.

Today, our team is so excited to announce that Misfit has teamed up with the iconic gaming brand and world-renowned artist JK5 (aka Joseph Ari Aloi) to create the ultimate gaming collectibles inspired by time and the disruptors of today and tomorrow — Atari x Misfit – Artist Edition the JK500.

The limited-edition capsule collection explores JK5’s favorite Atari environments and characters, including Adventure, Baseball, and Asteroids, layering them on top of one another to create a celebratory new world that commemorates some of his most illustrative childhood memories. The collection includes an exclusive watch inspired by JK5’s original artwork ($85), limited-edition artist print poster ($20) and ultra-collectible hoodie embellished with over 500 Swarovski® crystals ($300, only 25 made).

The Atari x Misfit – Artist Edition the JK500 watch features:

  • Graphics designed specifically for the watch from JK5’s original artwork
  • One-of-a-kind Atari watch display stand inspired by Atari’s iconic joystick controller
  • 42MM semi-translucent ombre gradient case playing homage to retro vintage gaming aesthetics
  • Limited edition collectible artist trading card featuring JK5’S original artwork
  • Commemorative Atari 50th caseback

Atari x Misfit – Artist Edition the JK500 officially sold out in under three hours on December 5 via a live streamed event at the National Video Game Museum (click here to watch).
