Position: Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sourcing strategies & facilitate the transformation through activities such as prices, terms negotiation, supplier selection, benchmarking and supply market analysis in Asia Pacific to drive the best-in-class products with lowest cost, best quality for Fossil product categories
  • Initiate and drive ongoing cost improvement programs through the cross category teams synergy, sourcing for new suppliers, negotiation with current suppliers, managing supplier eco-system to the next tiers (component & process suppliers)
  • Accountable for key initiatives such as supplier consolidation, diversification, dual sourcing, etc, as well as identify the opportunities in new product introduction end-to-end plans to meet on time, quality and pricing needs
  • Ownership on key KPI such as purchase spending for the related categories/business unit, which include the purchase price variances (PPV), should-cost modeling with recommendations. Drive supplier scorecard; work with cross functional teams to identify the gap and develop a clear roadmap for continuous improvements
  • Able to leverage retail and consumer insight to identify potential opportunities, map competitive advantages and find the best possible values in the marketplace
  • Act as the focal point of contact and drive partnership with cross functional teams.
  • Establish strong business network and relationship with suppliers
  • Lead process and system improvement programs and work with BPI/IT or related teams to eliminate the waste, improve the productivity, efficiency and quality of works

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain/operations management, engineering or related field
  • Excellent leadership, communications, planning, execution, influence and presentation skills
  • Good business sense, able to juggle competing interests in costs, timelines, and quality. Sound financial reporting knowledge
  • Minimum of 7 years of strategic international sourcing,/merchandising/ procurement management experience with minimum of 10 years in management role (MNC is preferred)
  • Solid knowledge in Chinese factory operations, including product development engineering, production line set up and control, outbound logistics and factory audits
  • Solid experience in buying office/trading and or manufacturing is preferred
  • Business process & system improvement experience is required. Exposure to Watch, Jewelry, Accessories and other fashion products is a plus
  • International sourcing/purchasing experience in China/Asia Pacific is required
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
